Hi all

We're looking at trading up from our 2001 Ducato base 650 to a 2007 Ford base 650 - its 2.4 engine which seems as if its rear wheel drive according to previous posts. Hubby is worried the engine won't be as good/powerful as our old Fiat - can anyone reassure us? Also does anyone know whether the 2007 650 flc Ford transit is built of aluminium like our old one or GRP? Ideally I would like a Hobby brochure/specification for the 2007 range but cant't find anything on the net.

Cheers!

Hi

Would not worry about Ford base we have 2.2 FWD on our van goes well no problems, have spoken to people with 2.4 on larger vans and so far have not heard anything against. You should have no problems regarding power.

We've got the 2.4 140bhp rear wheel drive tranny and it's got loads of power. The downside is it does drink a bit more than the 2.2 front wheel drive we had on our Rollerteam . Also the twin rear wheel make it very stable on the road. We love it!:thumb:
