Hill start, not used it yet. Cruise Control - brilliant (2016 Fiat 130 multijet). But when I turn the stalk the wrong way, instead of cruise control it comes up on the display saying SLD connect or disconnect. Can't seem to find it in the Manual under SLD. Is that the slow downhill control?

Speed limiting. I use it in a 30 zone, when set you can have the accelerator pedal on the floor and the MoHo will only do the speed the SLD is set at.

Ah, that explains why I couldn't accelerate. I thought my foot had gone to sleep from lack of use with the cruise control!

It is SLOW LEAK DELIVERY and refers to the dropping of grey water so nobody notices.

Fiat comfortmatic. Got a button just forward of my gear stick with a little van and a weight over the rear axle and arrows pointing up/forward and down/back. What does it do? Can't find it in the handbook.

My friend could not get his auto up his steep drive to the house as it would not go from stop the button does something that allowed hi mt start and keep going up the slope without stalling it.

It's Slobber Lobber Dobber. Apparently The Flowerpot Men use Fiats so you can choose to have the displays in their language. I need to get out more.

Press it when in hilly country. It holds the gears longer so the engine doesn't labour on the hills & it gives more engine braking.

Some people leave it pressed all the time, claiming it gives a more 'sporty' performance.

SLD is the Sly Letching Device you engage when your looking at some REALLY fit bird walking down the road your driving on. You engage it, and a paper bag drops over the wife's head. (y)

Speed Limited Descent?

My Freelander had something similar. Once engaged, on steep off road descents, the vehicle would descend at 5mph with braking and gas controlled by the engine management programme, all you had to do was steer.

Thats hill descent on the landy, I made the mistake of using that on a slope in the snow!!!!!
On the Ducato its a speed limiter, and it works pretty well, although it can drift over your set limit from time to time. More accurate than the Ducatos cruise control though, which can drift a fair way over or under your speed setting depending on the slope.
