10 engines and about £1m damage buy no buildings caught and the show is still going ahead.. Although where they will get stock is anyone's guess surely.

Thank goodness no-one was hurt & Highbridge Caravans are still open for most business: "Please note due to a fire on our for sale Caravan display, the new & used Caravan display area is currently closed.
Please note our Motorhome display, Accessories Shop, Awning Showroom, Workshop and Parts are open as normal (Workshop/Parts closed Sunday)
We thank you all for your kind words and patience while we are dealing with the aftermath of the fire."

Arson??? What can start a fire like that in loads of empty, gasless and powerless caravans. It must be devastating for that to happen, I hope that they do have adequate insurance cover. Trouble is that they are all parked so close together, bit like an Aire on a busy night.

I'm sure even the heat from that fire would of trashed many of the plastic windows of the other caravans that never actually caught alight.

Not sure about gasless. I read a news story that suggested part of the problem the fire brigade had was gas bottles heating up and exploding.

I did think at the time is was odd that they would leave bottles connected in sale vans in their yard.

I think some of the vans must have been customers as they were parked outside the service bay building. Hence the gas bottles.

Hmmm! We'll have to start a conspiracy theory, since there are no caravans in view where the towbars are :whistle:

Brother in law bought a new tourer and left it on a site permanently he didn't realise that although he was hooked up if nobody was on site the farmer would turn off the power supply, he had never had a caravan before and could not understand why he never had any gas left when he went up to his van every few weeks ,he didn't realise that the fridge was an automatic energy supply type and since he hadn't turned off the gas the fridge had been on permanantly so this may have happened at highbridge if one of those vans had a faulty fridge as they were in a service bay lineup
