I was in Aldi the other day and spied a tube of High Temperature Silicone Sealant for £1.99. As it claims to be resistant to fuels and oils I thought it worth a try when I have to work on my biodiesel setup.
The opportunity came sooner than I expected as I found I had a leak of newly made biodiesel from where the tap is fitted to the settling tank. I had to drain it down to lower than the tap level and re-seal the tap. Used the Aldi stuff and it works great, no leak!
Worth £1.99 and if their temp resistance claims hold up it will be great. Tube of this will be resident in my MH when I get it! Maybe this will help someone.:thumb:
