HI.this is the first forum i have joined. i'm hoping it will help make my motorhoming experience more interesting. although i've had a motorhome for 3 years i have not made a great deal of use from it. that will hopefully change in the future. i run my own business so dont get much free time, the odd long weekend is about all i use the van so getting involved with this site will i hope deepen my interest and involvment with touring.

Ewan.

Hi and welcome to the fun site.

In the couple of years that Ive been a member here Iv'e learned so much. Its always in the back of your mind that if you get into trouble somewhere there's at least somebody to talk to who understands and can maybe help with your problems.

Its more like a community than an Internet Forum.

Ewan.

Basically you are your own worst enemy. BTDTGTTS.

You either get someone who can run your business for a few weeks at a time or you wait 'till you retire.

I waited , the biggest trouble being I enjoyed work. I'm still not sure about this retirement thing.

Hi Euan
Welcome to the FUN
:welcomefunster:flyingwelcome
I also run my own business but work harder to make time for getaways
We work on getting away at least once a month for weekends or better still long weekends
Then once a year take a whole 4 -5 weeks off in one go
Go on, you can do it !
Life is not all about money, it,s about quality

BTDTGTTS.

I though everyone knew that one, you do now. That's not really a computer one. Really means Me Too, Same Here.

In The Olde Days when connections were S L O W and computer geeks were lazy using acronyms was/is very popular. It was text speak years and years before text.

TBH to be honest
AFAIK as far as I know
YHM you have mail
AFAICT as far as I can tell
Oh Please! guess
Many many more and good browsers would translate them for those learning. IYSWIM.

As you can see it's very efficient but frowned upon now because, like Gaelic, those who can speak it are few and far between.
