I'm a newbie
myself and partner are planning to motorhome full time ish in next few years...we have already started looking at potential mh makes and models with certain provisos...cannot be more than 3.5 weight....must have decent rear garage for bikes etc, must have fixed bed, either island/transverse etc...

So far we most impressed with adria coral and pilote similar layout, but today saw an a class Rapido 883f which would also fit bill...however have heard mixed things about build quality of Rapido.....would love to hear suggestions about other viable makes models...have looked at chausson, knaus etc...

Hope to learn more on this forum,
Cheers Tasha

Welcome! Hymer are very popular and seem well screwed together. Are you planning to tour Europe? If so it might be worth considering buying LHD from somewhere like Belgium or Germany. Quite a few on here have done it.

Hi, welcome!
Yes, left hand drive and a right side opening. Most continental vans will have that even if they are RHD.

Make sure you choose a layout where you can both stretch out and lounge about. ( unless your going for a fixed bed )
Would you prefer a large bathroom area , which would eat into the lounge /kitchen space ? We found older models were better build quality. More solid. Newer versions of old classics were rather tinny. Check out hinges on the doors , quality of the furnitureboard . Take your time choosing a Motorhome .
Especially if your thinking of full timing in it.
Layout , insulation, storage is king. Remember if you go for an older more solid model, the upholstery /curtains etc can be redone. Don't let a tired chintzy interior put you off ! We fully recommend Regal , it's over your way. Professional family run business who do a first class job. You can replace the foam , to your preferred density too.
You've done the right thing joining the forum. So many nice people with lots of advice and a few nutters as well.
