Just crawled out from under the van after investigating step motor fault.
Found this site while sourcing spares, some good advice found.

I'm in!

Thanks for having me.

Wow, used to stop in there for a pint after a hard day at the nautical college! Early '70's, not sure if it was th Clutha then.

That's when my dad owned it, was called the popinjay then he changed it to The Wee Mann's. He had a couple of guys from the collage work for him one was Dave I think from Dumferline and the other Gordon Donoghue who safely passed away a few years ago from Dumfries where we now stay. My dad is pat and mum was Margaret, my dad isn't easily forgotten :) He owned from around 71 - 80

The gear teeth are beyond dental work, I suspect previous owners grandkids had fun with it.

Hello and :welco: think you might just have used up your free post with your reminiscing, the membership fee is well worth the money. Missed out Helensburgh on my last trip, but if you have somewhere that sells great scallops will be puting it in my to visit list.

Hello and Welcome...Helensburgh? My parents loved Helensburgh...in fact they had a dream of retiring there, from Paisley....they didn't make it, sadly. This place is indeed a great source of information and advice, well worth the £15 subscription.
