:Smile:Hi Folks, We live in the top right hand corner of Lincolnshire but actualy origionate from the N/W area of the country, a tale for another day perhaps. I was stationed in Germany for nine years and have been campers in many forms from army two man bivys:Blush: to frame tents/ trailer tents and Eruope Camp.
We are back to holidays on our own at last::bigsmile: so we are trying diferent ideas. Our next try and see is a motorcaravan. We are doing this as a try and see by hiring one this September. We only have a week to spare so to follow my intrest we thought we would go down the west coast of France, Normandy area. Oh nearly forgot management likes the French food and drink so we both win.
Any ideas or sugestion/ warnings from other users would be intresting to here. The van will be a Mooveo 673.

Hi and welcome from France. :france:

If you are driving a hired vehicle to France just make sure they give you all the correct documentation, insurance cover & provide the triangles and hi-viz jackets you'll need (just in case any gendarmes decide to do a roadside check--rare but it happens)

Thanks

Thanks for the advice. We are hiring from a what looks like quite a big company. Extra to the normal price is a European package. When we get a bit nearer the time we are going to ask what the package actualy gives us. Freinds of ours travel through france every year and have warned us about the new regulations. Having been in germany for many years we know you cant flaunt the rules, they will find some way to win especialy if they are having a bad day. Just be prepared and dont be clever.
