We're new to this motorhoming lark and have just taken ownership of our new to us Frankia I800 which seems to be a pretty amazing bit of kit. Time will tell however!!.

Has any anyone got any advice regarding the legality of keeping a motorhome parked on the road. We live in a quiet area so I'm not worried about the safety aspect but would ideally like to cover it over the winter.

Anyway we have to pack up now to get off in the morning. Tomorrow we're taking a brave adventure to Aberystwyth. I'll keep you posted as to how it all goes.

Hi Pete B and welcome.
We bought a classic Frankia atlantis 2 years ago to see if we liked motorhoming. It went to the Pyrenees ans Italy and back. This year we bought a Frankia Bavaria TD15 A class and have just come back from our first proving trip.
Lovely vans, quality and sturdy.
Come join us all on a meet!

hi pete i think what peter marshall says is spoton ok to leave it on the road as long as tax is paid and displayed, but if it is covered it is a safety hazard, plus the nice traffic wardens cant see your tax disc:thumb:

Hi Pete B welcome to m/h fun enjoy your 1st trip away you will soon get use to doing things like water off a ducks back ref you parking on the road can not see there being a proplem as long as you are not causing any obstruction and the m/h is taxed and insured good luck
