Hello everyone,

My name's Martin and my wife is Andrea and we have just bought our first "proper" motorhome, a Hymer B508CL after four years of owning and using a van conversion; my wife and I used the van separately, her for dog competitions and me for bike racing. We both enjoyed going away in the van together for a day out to the beach with the dogs but there wasn't enough room in it to comfortably stay away overnight together, hence the Hymer purchase.

We are about to embark on our first trip together for two weeks in May so I'm sure we'll have a load of questions for you all, especially as the motorhome is new to us and the trip is going to be across the channel!

Wow, you're a friendly bunch!

Thanks for the warm welcome to answer Cat53's question we have a 2 year old Cairn (Ruby) and a 10 year old Jack Russell/Yorkie cross (Dave) who will both be joining us on the trip to mainland Europe. It's another reason for buying the camper; we love taking them away with us...
