    We lost internet this morning....

Phoned Talk-Talk :Sad: Because the phone line was OK...

And they talked us through how to reboot the router.. (I think that`s what it`s called,,, the box that sends the signal to various computers in the house)

Did what they said and got back online....... BUT....

We didn`t get our usual page of MSN..... We got "See below",,,,,, but there is no MSN hotmail window, so I cannot receive or send emails.... or even find a window to open..

On the list below highlighted,,,, but that just goes back to the same page as below when I do sign in ...[HI][/HI]

    Any idea`s Please..
............................................................ This is what comes up now =

You could set yourself up with a Google e-mail account that is always available from anywhere.:thumb:

Would I have to change my e.mail address.... ?

If so I think that would cause problems.... I have loads of friends and all my business dealings would have to be informed...

If we loose Tinternet, We just unplug the router power, wait a few seconds and then power back on.

Do not know why the computer has changed its home page. Google what you want your home page to be..say Motorhomefun.. Open the page then on the top address bar click Tools. Internet Options.
Then in the highlited box un der Home Page...Click on current.

This will default your Home Page.
Depends what your running, you can save all pages in Favouites or icons along the address bar as shortcuts.

    Best of Luck YoungMo

According to another thread on here (Fun) there are problems with hotmail at the moment so it could be nothing to do with your settings, just a case of waiting for Microsoft to sort the problem out.

The page you are seeing is an incomplete download of a webpage. When they've fixed it, all will/should be back to normal.

This is the problem, yor can probably keep the first part of the address but would have to end with the @googlemail.com still worth setting up as a back up for times like this.:thumb:

    Can you access other pages?

Do any of your shortcut to web pages work?

It maybe worth clearing your cache - for chrome this is simply CTRL-SFT-DEL keys together ...this will bring up "clear browser data" options - ensure that only cache is ticked and clear it (although you can get rid of history too if you wish)

NOTE: you can clear cookies - but be aware that any logins you have saved (and you shouldnt anyway!) will be lost....

    See if this clears it.......

    Hi, and thanks...

Trying your suggestion.... but....I have found the CTRL & Delete buttons,,,, but cannot find one with SFT....

Sorry jumping the gun here..... Yes I can get my other favourites.... when I click on my home page,,,,, usually MSN comes up with a load of pictures and news bits... but now all I get is what I said in my original post,,, but now it always comes up at the top with the Funsters and RVOC web sites...
