We are planning our first ever motorhome trip over Easter - flying to England to collect a (rather elderly) motorhome we haven't actually seen and then to Dover - onwards to Calais for a few days (very) liesurely touring to Cherbourg and then the ferry home to Belfast via Rosslare.
Can anyone pass on some useful tips - good places to visit;places to eat;markets to visit etc.
We are seasoned Francophiles, but we always come off the ferry and head due south to Provence so the North is an unknown adventure.
Any suggestions appreciated :thumb:

Hi and welcome we are heading to France on Friday and will be heading in the rough area of south brittany and like you have done France loads of times but never this area.

a good first night stop is

a good first night stop is Neuchatel-en-bray - it is in the ACIS about 40 minutes Calais side of Rouen.. nice town, great 2 star site on a river bank (not 3 start as it does not have a swimming pool or kids playground - great).. lots of good shops and near a large supermarket within a few minutes walk.. cows across the filed and a church.. exit 9 of the motorway and about 2 alms in to the town area . sign posted. 40 klms from Dieppe.

You can get to the site by not using the motorway at all as the national roads are good in that area.

Rough Area !!! Sounds like the outskirts of Marseilles to me !!!

Thanks for the info........sounds like somewhere we would like. As we have no other means of transport this trip we will be relying on walking.
