    Hi

Just come back from our first outing in our Renault Trafic camper. All was well except for our zig unit we have a SP4 and not sure how it works can't get our heads round it.
The red light came on for a while, whilst we were hooked up to electric, not sure what we should have switched on when on sight, to make sure the unit charges the leisure battery. Can't seem to get and instruction manual from any were, can any one help.

    Thanks
    Samany

This is where I would go to samany. You should be able to get a handbook from them

For this type of unit you can only get a wiring diagram from here and even thats difficult to make out, its just a bad copy.

    Hi Samany

The photo shows your unit is a little different to ours however

when hooked to the mains we have all switches on i.e. downward part of switch NOT protruding and this includes the Aux 1 switch. You dont need the pump switch "on" unless you are actually using the water.

When you plug into the mains the green light should come on. If the red light comes on as well it means that the battery is low on charge and is being charged. The red light will go out when the battery is charged.

If the mains was not working properly it may be that like us, you have a separate mains unit box (usually in a bottom cupboard below the zig unit that needs to be switched on).

    Hope this helps

Just read your post re Renault Trafic and wondered what age your vehicle is. I have a 1987 Renault Rapport Autosleeper and would like to exchange a bit of info on the vehicle if you have the same.
