Help Tevion DVD recorder (1 Viewer)

Hi, i've had this machine for some time and it's great for recording off the tele to HD or DVD. Also good for playing back movies from the computer (made into DVD). Strange thing is it'll play back free DVD from the Sunday's OK but when I buy a DVD it plays plays back picture perfect, all music on the DVD plays OK but there is no speech??? It's driving me crazy :Wacko: :helpsos:

Hi Ken,

If you burn a recording to DVD on the machine does it play the speech ok?

Sounds almost like a regional thing or are the DVDs you're buying dual layer?

How old is the machine and do you have a model number?

Machine is approx 2yrs old
Yep plays everything ok except bought DVD's.
Don't have the model No as we are off the static for February.
Bought DVD's are just the bog standard.
Region is set OK first thing I checked although the free ones play fine.
Just checked they are single layer discs.

Hi.
That sounds just like the same problem I was having with mine (different make but same trouble!!)

I fiddled around with the sound settings for ages and eventually got the right settings. Just change the sound settings and keep trying....worked for me but took about 1/2 hour of button pushing!!!oh:
