I HAVE JUST DAMAGED MY MOTORHOME IT HAS GONE THROUGH THE SKIN AND THERE IS 6 INCH WIDE HOLE. I JUST PULLED OVER TO SORT MY SAT NAV OUT I PARKED ABOUT A FOOT FROM KERB I HEARD THIS MASSIVE THUD AND GOT OUT THE TOP OF THE VAN HAD HIT THE TREE TRUNK IT WAS SLOPING OUT OVER THE ROAD AND I DIDNT SEE IT AS IT WAS TOO HIGH UP. I JUST CANT BELIEVE HOW UNLUCKY I WAS. WOULD ANYONE KNOW OF A SPECIALIST THAT FIXES FIBRE GLASS MOTORHOMES I LIVE IN ETON SL46dd BERKSHIRE .
ALSO IS IT WORTH COMPLAINING TO THE COUNCIL ABOUT MANY THANKS THERESA

First thing make a temporary repair with Gaffa tape or similar. Any body shop should be able to repair fibreglass, its one of the easiest materials to repair.

as snowbird has said, seal it with gaffer tape and thick plastic bag if its a big hole.

then its a visit to a decent repair shop if poss that specialises in caravans / motorhomes. but most good commercial bodyshops should do.

Elite motorhomes near banbury

I bashed mine in Spain. Cracked the fibreglass shell on the front end

Elite fixed it for £650 ish and u can't see the repair

My comfort insurance only went up a couple of pounds

If possible, go back and photograph the offending branch to send to the local council.

Thanks guys first thing I did was put gaff a tape on and I have took photo of tree I will get onto a body shop first thing

whacked side of my van whilst having some work done [heater elements fitted ]troy of tjs mansfield notts cut out a hole and fitted door looks like it was always there, cost price of door/£50 plus small cost to fit dont know what is other side of hole but mine was inside of wardrobe at least a false door would be cheaper and no matching paitnwork etc if you are near notts pm me and ill send troys address:thumb:
