I'm viewing angle Eldiss autostratus 2000 Eb.It's a 2000 model. Looks very tidy.
On the picture of the bathroom I've noticed 3 little drill type holes in the shower tray for.
The seller says it's for drainage.
Can someone just confirm why it may have little drill holes in the shower tray floor?? Thank you.

Ask whats wrong with the plug hole drain into the grey waste tank and why he did it.
Additional drilled holes aren`t really going to work.
Puts a whole new slant on grey waste disposal.....

not long enough
Does sound very odd and potentially quite worrying, if the holes do not drain straight to ground I dread to think where any water goes, worth looking underneath, if you cant see the bottom of the tray I would leave well alone

Buyer beware me thinks (y)

Theres plenty more out there, if you can see the tray from underneath, at least factor in the price a new tray, including fitting, if you do decide to go ahead, it will not be cheap to change and it will be hard to sell on when you do unless changed

Have you done a damp check, could show if water is going somewhere it should not be.

When you check some of the things you need to definitely check Damp with a damp meter, the pay load. If you can have a look at Jims check list for buying a van. :)

Are you sure they are holes ? could they just be marks in the plastic.
If the seller is genuine he will tell you why they are there / what caused them.
As said, factor in a replacement tray, might be worth ringing a dealer to get a ball park figure before you view it
Let us know how you get on

Why three tiny holes, why not a larger one, and has been said what's wrong with the drain hole, sounds like a wrong un to me.

I think I have found the listing.....

Broken Link Removed

Those holes are not a good idea in my opinion as they will not lead to the waste pipes and hence water is just leaking down.

I suspect the seller doesn't know either. It's hard to imagine anyone would drill holes to let water onto the floor. Try probing to see where they go & if completely through the tray is the floor soft or is there something else under there. I wonder if they were drilled for foam injection to firm up the shower tray. If there's nothing untoward underneath they can easily be filled. A worthwhile negotiating point though :)

The only way you would drill the shower tray would be a fault in the drainage from said tray. Sounds like a right bodger.... walk away
