can someone help me find a POLYMER 456080 BATTERY
tech info = 1000mAh 7.4v 6 MH27311 its one of those flat 3"x2.5"x1/4" jobbies that fit into a portable DVDs that is made by technika [this is sold by tescos AND PLEASE NOTE it applies to all electrical goods,by tescos, THEY DON'T, KEEP/SELL ANY SPARES, and they WILL NOT REPAIR ONCE OUT OF WARRANTY]

i have been on Ebay of course, and emailed lots of threads to hong kong and china, with no reply or they only do w/sale

the DVD works great, but it does not hold a charge longer then 4 mins, but a £100.00 DVD, 2 years old [not used in that time longer than 16-20 hours] is to good to "chuck away":cry:
thanks for any help, George

thanks lads

a BIG thank you to all for your suggestions but tried them all with no luck, recell don't do them type, one is 2nd hand, one is more expensive than a new dvd,
cannot buy from hong cong unless you want 1000s, so it looks like a bin job,
once again lads THANK YOU VERY MUCH, george:Doh:

20 years (unless you count my dads VW which makes it 52 years with a few gaps!!)
dont forget that the 12 month warranty given by most suppliers is in addition to your statutory rights. If you have a look at the Which site on consumer rights/sale of goods act etc. you may be suprised what the supplier (not the manufacturer as your contract is with who you bought it from) is liable for. Look at it like a court would ie at that price, how long should it last? the 12 month thing means very little.

Don't know anything about these things, but can't you use it pluged in all the time rather than chucking it or even get another battery ,similer voltage and strap it on the side or something like that::bigsmile:

this chap is selling new batteries pulled from faulty dvd players so may be able to help. so long as it is 7.4 volt and will fit in the space it will work. only about £5 to buy so worth trying
