Have removed Electrolux AES fridge as fed up with constantly failing on gas am left with three wires for the mains and three for 12 volt this puzzels me as two are live and one neg. so my question is what is the 2nd wire for? As the new fridge a Waeco MDC 90 only requires 2?
Rouge wire is slimmer and coloured white.

12v constant works the interior light and (depending on age) any electronics, warning lights etc. The other 12v feed is only available with the engine running and powers the fridge cooling element. The negative is common to both feeds. You need the permanent feed for the Waeco.

    As Tony said..

however.. depending on the Waeco load the permanent feed may not be heavy enough...

check wattage of Waeco (or amps) and supply fuse on the permanent feed ..

you may have to upgrade it.

    Edit

just checked.. it is 45 watts .. so it only uses 4 amps when running ..

    more checks..
from the manual .. they suggest a 15A supply.. this will be to allow for the start up current..

    Connect the cooling device
    – As directly as possible to the pole of the battery or
    – To a plug socket which is fused with at least 15A(at12V)
