I'm a newbie
Hi to all,
My name is Colin and I am based just outside Reading Berkshire.
Hope you don't mind me joining just to try and get a few pointers in the right direction.
My Father has owned a 56 reg Peugeot Boxer Autocruise Stardream for the past few years.
It has only done 26500 miles from new.
I know there are extras fitted but will have to find out what they are.
Due to ill health I really don't think my dad will be driving anymore and he has mentioned
About selling his beloved motor home.
Can anyone tell me if there is a better time of the year to sell a motorhome?
Which is the best place to advertise this motor home?
I really don't know a great deal about motor homes and any help would
Be hugely appreciated.

Regards Colin

Hello Colin

What a sad way to join, first thing though edit your post to remove your phone and email contacts, some low life will give you hassle, not from here but the posting is visible to the world

Then we can offer help (y) I wish you the very best and your Dad, hope you get a quick sale :)

edit - I should have added there is an edit option at the bottom of your post (y)

and welcome to the forum :)

Several things you can do to sell your dad's motorhome.
If you subscribe to Fun you can advertise it free in the classifieds section.
You'll also be able to get help / advice on things in the motorhome.
You can advertise privately but read up here on how to get paid. Don't part with the vehicle, it's registration document etc.. Until you have the money verified in your account.
You can also contact motorhome agent. http://www.motorhomeagent.com They will have someone near to you who will take photos, details and so on and they handle all the advertising and viewings.
Good luck with the sale.

Sorry to be a real pain,
I am trying to find a way to edit my post and remove the contact details!
It's probably staring me in the face but I can't see an edit option.

You can't edit it after 60 minutes but look at the bottom for the word edit. However, if you click on the report button you can ask Jim, who runs the site, to delete them. However, this may be delayed as he has been at a show this weekend but he will do it when he can.

This might raise a bit of banter Colin, it is aimed at me and nothing to do with you or your post, as was the interaction above that might have seemed slightly odd to you

I wonder though if your new member status removes your options to edit posts

This is a very indelicate question but have you paid your membership fees? or simply joined?

It might make a difference to your options, you certainly need to be a paid up member to use such as classified

Sorry to be so vulgar and raise the issue of payment, but it might matter :)(y)
