Hi all. Hope you can help.
Is it possible to link 2 tv's together in order for my sister in a motorhome next to mine to view what I am watching, on her TV in her motorhome if that makes sense.
We are in Spain and I have a dream box and get most channels, but dot's tv and receiver can hardly get anything. What she does get is all broken up.

Hope someone comes along soon as she has withdrawal symptoms:BigGrin:

So, is it possible and if so what do we need to do it.

    Lesley

Why not ask her round to watch with you? A glass of wine.....

I would imagine you would have to watch the same chanel anyway even with a splitter.

    Hi

    Thanks for the quick response

This is for watching tv at bedtime. We stay out of the van all day.

What is a splitter and if we got one would that work.

    1. Is her decoder / tuner box thing working ok?
    2. How many connectors has the LNB on your dish?

If her decoder is ok and you have more than 1 connector on the LNB, just plug her cable into it. (Need a fairly long cable with "F" connectors)
It wont affect your signal. Did this in S France this year.

    Thanks for the quick reply

We have a camos dome and I think, (but not quite sure) that it only has one LNB. I will google it and check
    Thanks

    OK.
Is it possible to split the signal out of your box using a (Long) scart cable to her tv?

    Just a thought:
    Has Dot tried the basics?
(Cleaning the dish / LNB, double checking ALL connections)

If Hilldweller is about, check the LNB for tinfoil!

Thanks again. The dream box only has one scart lead from dream box to our tv with no spare scart connector.

As you can see, I am hopeless with technology any other ideas:BigGrin:

    splitter

    you need one of these
    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/F-Type-Sc...onEle_SatCableFreeview_RL&hash=item2c5b490ec2
then a patch lead to your TV an one to Dots if you are sharing the one dish.
If you want to share the output from the dreambox then you need a scart splitter
    similar to this
    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AUDIO-VID...uting_CablesConnectors_RL&hash=item3a6557d796
they can be bought cheaper. And again you will need 2 new leads one for your set and one for Dots (actually you may not be able to get one long enough and have to connect 2 together via another junction box)
as to cocking it up with confidence I am sure you can cope with that, hee hee
