I feel a bit daft asking this question but....for some reason I have deleted my ITunes download. I have now downloaded a new copy.
My problem is, when I plug my IPod into my pc the ITunes tells me that my iPod is registered to my previous copy and the only way to proceed is to delete all my stored music.
My question is... How do I back up my IPod so that I can reload it after I have registered with my new copy of ITunes?

    copy it onto a dvd
    deleate i tunes from puter
    reload i tunes

    stick your dvd in
    reload your tunes to it

    bit of luck i tunes
    will be back
or thats how i did it i pod to i phone
    seemed to work
trouble is now i have windows 7
i forgot to save it first
knowi need to reload all the tunes

wont guarantee it works for you
see if somone has an alternative idea
pick the one that suits you

but certainly back up a dvd first
if all else fails you can try my way
after deleting i tunes from computer:thumb:

Thanks tofo that was very quick. That sounds like it could work, at least it will give me a back up. Sorry about your windows 7 episode, I will keep that in mind when I update to seven in a couple of weeks.
    Thanks

If you authorise the new itunes with your account you should be able to sync you ipod to your PC, this will copy all music from your ipod to the computer.
