I am looking at this item for my shower.
    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/310305795692

Does anyone have any experience of this or can recommend something similar that is solid, easy to fill and has been reliable?

I also need a rack to hold things like shaving foam etc. I have looked and looked but can't find anything that will allow me to drive off without unloading it.

    thanks in advance

the dispensers are very similar to the twin dispenser i have.

works really well but i dropped one and the pump broke from the main body.
not really a problem as a replacement is just £12 for both containers and the holder.

or i could just superglue this one back together as the pump mechanism is held very securely within the housing...it just leaks at the moment.

IMHO it seems a bit on the large size, and still wont hold your other items :Rofl1::Rofl1:

I did in our other van have a bag tidy net style that hung on the shower pole for oddments like your shaver/ foam etc stayed safe for travelling was easy to get into also and a small soap holder :thumb:

It was similar to this, only navy and longwise with drawstrings ...

You can get much cheaper ones. I aimed to spend at least £25 in the hopes of getting something that won't fall to pieces the second I cross the channel tunnel.

Don't Fiamma do dispensers for around 8 or 9 quid and storage "pockets" starting around a fiver ?

I have no experience with them so can't comment on quality etc, but I thought it might be worth a look.
Johns Cross MHs have them on their web site.

Peter the Fiamma one is a single and too small. I am looking for a triple with around 400ml each pot so it can take a big container of shampoo etc.

Thanks Papajohn. that looks ok but only a double. Looks a little flimsy as well?

So you are going to have 1.2 litres of whatever hanging off your shower wall? How heavy will that be? aah yes, 1.2 kgs. Plus the weight of the thing.

Wonder if that's why the Fiamma one is small ?

will be more than that, water weighs 1KG a Litre Soap weighs more

Not a problem, I am in a self build and it was built extremely well and can take it :BigGrin:

I have used something similar and found that on occasion (mostly long trips to southern France, etc.) I get the soap dribbling out of the dispenser. I assume it's something to do with going up and down mountains and the pressure difference inside and outside of the dispenser. *

It's never much soap coming out but I do have to remember not to put anything I don't want soap on under where it drips.

But on a day to day basis, they work well.

*= like the old "crack the toilet open a bit before using up a mountain" trick I guess :)

motorhome showers are only big enough for one so there should be no problem bending for the dropped soap......:Rofl1:

Well Karl, I can only work on what I know - ie 'A pint of water weighs a pound and a quarter' LOL ! Plus I weighed a brand new 500ml bottle of shampoo - 530 -ish grams inluding the container, so it was at least that.

Also thinking of our own plastic shower interior walls - not everyone knows exactly what is underneath theirs ......

This is the wall where it will be mounted. There is another piece of wood above the one you can see there. It is 18mm thick and was installed after this photo was taken. The support structure is 1" x 2" and is mortice and tenon jointed for strength then skinned with 5mm ply and 2mm sheet plastic.

It doesn't move or flex at all even with all 12 stone of my weight falling on it once when drunk:Rofl1:

You can see more details on the construction of the shower room
here and the actual walls being built here
