Hello Bill and Irene here
We have just bought our first Motorhome, a 2006 LAIKA ECO VIP 2.1 FIAT 2.8.
As we are new to this scene, and we are looking for weekends away and quite often weekdays in between. Which camping club would we be better joining.

hope you can do the avatar thing,as for clubs we joined them all the first year but after trying them all would'nt bother again,we've had more help from the motorhomefun club than all the rest.

:thumb: HI and Welcome to Fun.This is a great site you have found yourselves on.
As for Clubs it is a case of preferance, we are in both the Caravan Club and the Camping and Caravan Club but we do use mainly CL and CS sites that only take 5 vans.
If you have a look online before joining at where all the sites are and see which would suit you best, both sites give you discounts but we have found the Caravan Club to come out tops for us, with our Motorhome Insurance and cheaper ferry fares.

Welcome and enjoy your new van, We joined the cc & c&cc both have good quality sites and rallies throughout the country & ferry deals the c&cc will upgrade your rac (if your with them rac that is) for free to cover the mh always handy to have (but hope you never need) always plenty of things going on here, so welcome again and don't be afraid to ask we all started sometime. hi bill and irene and welcome to the FUN.

for weekends away you could do worse than looking in our calender for funsters meets.

may be 2 or 3 vans or maybe 40 or more...you never know.

it can be un-nerving at your first meet but you WILL be made welcome by one and all .

no rules at the meets...do as little or as much as you want. there are no organised outings/ silly games etc just fun fun fun!

i lie.....one rule.....have a sense of humour and bring it with you and, ofcourse, a supply of beer/wine for the evening parties.

nothing much happening at the moment but it does fill up with meets come spring.

Hi fellow newbies

We only go our new motorhome a couple of weeks ago, Swift Suntor 630L.

We are going on a Caravan Club rally this weekend at Wadebridge in Cornwall it is only 14 miles from our home, but might be a giggle its "Only Quiz and Horses" is the title I will let you all know how it goes! :thumb:

We have joined both the CC and the CCC maily used CS's so far and wild camped at Dawlish Warren. Is there a forum to promote the nice sites on motorhomefun?

Perhaps we should start one?
