My Missus and I are total newbies waiting to take delivery of my 'home at the beginning of December. I'm planning to commute to work with it and stay over in an attempt to reduce the stupid mileage I'm doing at present, 500 mpwk, but am looking forward to doing proper touring in the UK next year.

Doing lots of surfing and fact gathering to find all the bits I need for all year round camping.

So does this make me a kind of full timer then?:ROFLMAO:

Only joking.

I'm kind of excited and nervous at the same time, really weird feeling.

Regards

Roger & Barbara

Hi Roger & Barbara

WELCOME to MH Fun::bigsmile:::bigsmile:

By the time you come to tour in it you will be an old hand, if you use it for work.

Hope all works out OK.

Welcome Roger and Babara,

It's good to learn of others using their motorhome for more than just holiday touring.

Cutting down on those miles not only saves you money but gains you more of that most valuable thing... time.

I've been gaining time and saving money for years!

I'm new to all this as well

Have found this site to be a great source of info, with just enough "taking the rise" to make it entertaining. Can't give any advice, mine sits on the drive awaiting our first journey just before christmas. I'm sure you've already considered it, but I would think it a good idea to include business use when you insure your van as commuting is not covered under SD and P, don't give the nice people from insurance land any oppurtunity to wriggle.
