We, Patty and Tim have just bought our first m/h. We have started with an older/cheaper model and hopefully will upgrade eventually if we enjoy it as much as we think we will. We have bought a Talbot Express 1989. It's fantastic condition inside and out. We've had a problem with starting it though. The RAC had to come out, he said he thought the engine was good - 'sweet as a nut'. Which was a bit of reassurance! It was the fuel pump, it's being serviced now and getting it checked over to get it up to scratch.

This is Tim and I living the dream, all we need now is a DOG! I'm a retired nurse so looking forward to being a hedonist now. Love the country, nature, simple life, except good food, wine and music. We'll see how the m/h holds up, but with a bit of luck and a good mechanic we may be able to go to Europe in spring. Tootle around for the summer. Sound like old hippies!

Hello Patty and Tim, sounds as if you have the right attitude for the motorhome, great way of life, don't forget to find out about the French Aires, Camping Cheque and ASCI, before you set off for Europe, all will save you quite a bit of money, could be worth your first trip without the Dog, get to know the ropes then get the dog if that is a option, whichever way you choose enjoy. :welcomefunster:

Hi and welcome, we have only had our Motorhome since August this year and absolutely love it. Managed to get away most weekends and had a 9 day trip to Cornwall in September. We think it is the best thing we have ever done, hopefully you will feel the same. Just in the process of planning our first trip to France in July next year, fantastic!. Any questions you have just post them, someone will have an answer for you.

Welcome to the band! We're not gonna be far from you either, are we, in beautiful downtown Bed'th? LOL (Still now you know that you can always avoid us, so it is useful to know!)

If things go as we hope, we shall be at

on the aire down by the beach cos we prefer that end of the beach, but there's another one at the other end inland from the lighthouse anyway.

It's great fun !
