38years Caravans - 4months motorhoming!
........Tricia and Bert. We've just joined the forum. "Camping" started 38 years ago when Bert converted a Bedford Ambulance. We transferred to caravans for 36 years changing last November when we collected our new Motorhome. We've since bought a Smart Car to tow behind the MH which works really well. We're based in Crowthorne in Berkshire. Looking forward to some interesting discussions and points of view.

Hello and welcome.

Bedford ambulance...that was our first motorhome! It was a 1966 3 litre Beford ambulance that had been used in Birmingham. It 'left' the service in 1980 and I purchased it in February 1981 when it was still in ambulance livery. We had a young family and I did a bit of conversion of the inside (extra bed, cooker etc.) and painted the outside.

Here we are up on the north coast of Scotland at Bettyhill.

Wonderful memories. :)

Best wishes, you'll really enjoy it.
