We live in Germany - I am English, ex Royal Navy and have been here since 1971, while Brigitte is German. We are traveling over to the UK in May - Hoek to Harwich - off up to Newcastle then a 2-3 week tour of Wales before returning home. Any tips on overnight stops would be more than welcome, especially those not costing an arm and a leg. :LOL:

Looking for inexpensive stops you could do worse than:-

Check out "Britstops". Usually free parking at Pubs, Farms etc.

Both the Caravan Club and the Camping and Caravanning Club operate Members only, maximum five van sites which are usually inexpensive, as well as their major network, although you have to pay membership fees to use the five van sites.
