Just a few lines to say hello, just purchased our first motorhome a swift escape 696, had our first trip away 2 nights near whitby, all went great. Can't wait for the next trip & taking the grand kids when it warms up. Lovin it

Hi Paul, Lizzie

we now live down in Cornwall but until last Summer lived in Yorkshire and often visited Whitby [favourite East Coast town]. we stayed at many different sites, clubs and otherwise, but dropped on a lovely private site on the edge of the North York Moors, about half a mile short of Hutton Le Hole [coming from the south], called Westfield Lodge. Place is neat and tidy, good shower block, and well run by Annabel Strickland and her husband, who run the farm where the site is located.

A bit nearer home for you is another site we used often; Teversal C & CC site, about 5 miles from J29 on the M1. Best shower block in the world! and there is plenty to do in that area, plus a good pub with grub 200 yards down the road. Place is run by a lovely young couple who [unusually] have the site on a franchise and every time we go, they have added more improvements.

Fingers crossed for you, our grand kids showed no interest in the idea. Maybe we didn't do a good sales job on them.
