Hello to all, wondered if any of you have come across tall garage door hinges problem
on Chausson Welcome 76? Ours have gone solid difficult to open door, difficult to spray in WD40, tried to remove hinges from frame find they are bonded!! Chausson want £320 plus vat and carriage to send new door frame with hinges, EXTORTIONATE!!! Any Ides?

We were told that wd40 was the worst thing to use on hinges.

Buy some stainless steel hinges and replace the crap originals, fix with s/s screws then mask and spray to colour of van. No more trouble, I know, I've done it!!! (different locker door)

The ali hinges react to the steel pins and seize -They are usually riveted on so it's a case of drilling out then boil them in hot water to relise -coat them with copper slip type grease and reassemble either rivets or self tapers -WD MAY FREE THEM UP BUT IT ALSO REMOVES/CLEANS ANY OIL OR GREASE THAT IS NEEDED -sPRAY ON SILICON IS BEST FOR LUBING
