Just a few lines about myself , have been motor homing for 40 odd years but after losing my wife after 50 years together decided to try and see if the open road would help me look to the future and get on with life , am not sure I have the confidence now but am sure I will get support and help off you if need be .

Hello and welcome, do join in with the form and meets, 40 years of motorhoming is a lot of experience, good to back on the road, I am sure your wife would be proud of you for making the effort.

    Hi and WELCOME to fun

You couldnt have chosen a better place to get some support for what sounds a daunting task - but it is not as frightening as it seems.

We have quite a few solo motorhomers and there is a special section for this as well on the forum

Read here and contact Jim for a password

    http://www.motorhomefun.co.uk/solo-travellers/12050-new-solo-travellers-section.html

The newbury show is on this weekend, malvern in August and then theres the season finale at the lincoln showground. Funsters all park together so you will be safe and in good hands.

Hope to see you at a meet soon -

I lost my husband in 2012 and didn't think I could carry on motorhoming I was persuaded to keep the motorhome until I decided wether or not it would be for me. It's hard to start with but believe me it gets better  I changed mine to something that suited my lifestyle.
Take things slowly my first trip was only 15 miles from home and only for 2 nights:Smile: I also use mine for my hobby judging horses and ponies ..far better than a hotel room.
Hope everything works out for you ...motor homing is a great way of life with plenty of friends to help if needed
