Hey ho

I've got a problem with my Atwood Confort 3 water heater and blown air heating.

It has stopped working.

The symptoms are: turn on (the water or the heating, same thing happens either way), green light comes on, sounds like it fires, stays on for a bit, then it shuts off, and red light comes on.

Any ideas what I should check?

I used to get a similar problem last year when it wouldn't fire when running on leisure batteries, but a new pair of batteries solved that; and it had been running fine up until a couple of weeks ago.

Merci beaucoup.

Jamie.

Just a quick thought if you have snow. Make sure none is blocking the flue.

It stopped working long before the snow arrived. Dec 14 was the last trip we took and discovered the lack of heating.

Will check the flue for blockage though.

It's on propane. The hob and oven are working fine, and I've checked that the valve to the heater is actually open.

It will only cut out if there is not enough power ie batteries low. Or there is not enough steady gas flow to light.

I would remove the water heater flue, check condition and make sure it is not rotted out as this will blow out the flame.

This may be fine, as the heater is faulty also - I would look at gas supply as my first port of call. It may supply enough for cooker etc, but not enough for heater.
