Hi, a newbie to the website here, but a Frankia owner for 6 years during which time we have never been able to get the heated towel rail in the shower room to work anything like efficiently. Any body out there managed to make it work?

Hello you two, I haven't got a heated towel rail at home let alone in the van:Smile: Must be nice though. Welcome to the fuN:thumb:

Hi and WELCOME.
Never come across heated towel rail in a motorhome, it sounds like something the wife would like:whatthe:

It would be something we would like, if only we could get it to work properly:Sad:

The heated rail doesn't put out a lot of heat but I assume you have used the slider control in the bathroom? You basically have a choice - heat through the vent under the basin or the towel rail and the slider controls that.

Of course it only works when the blown air heating is on. We found that as the 'van is so well insulated we only had the blown air going at sufficient speed for a short period of time.

We've tried it with the slider control in the correct position and with the heater on full blast. It was about as much use as a chocolate fireguard!
Spinney's said that the rails are'nt "very good". An understatement I think.
Despite this minor glitch, we would'nt change the motorhome for anything else on the market at the moment.

I know this is an old thread, but ours works OK. You may want to check the slider actuator is working. It is underneath the base of the sink, the panel is easy to remove.
