ehic works for many .
the other card you need is one for an undertaker . hee hee, saves all that lead box carry on to return to uk.
but really make sure you are in a state ambulance and going to a state run hospital.
you get the same as a local.
it does work.

On and off for many years.
It depends on your attitude to risk. With the European Health Card you get the same treatment as locals as stated above - you will not be repatriated, so if that is important you might want to consider a travel insurance policy.

I have an annual policy but only because I used to cruise and it was compulsory and I hope to go to the USA to a family wedding later in the year.

If you have pre-existing health conditions they may not be covered by private insurance anyway. Some private travel insurance covers you within the UK as well as abroad.

vwalan, I sent a like because your message was helpful and not because I liked the fact you have health problems.

I am very sorry that you aren't well.

We can't tae it with us and life isn't a rehearsal so we should get out and enjoy what we have whilst we still have it.
