In mid May (for two weeks) we are landing at Dieppe early morning (5am) then thinking of heading down the A6/A7 as far as possible with in 4 hours. Stop for a break then hoping to do another couple of hours = 6-7 hours driving until first stop over on day one.
Has anyone got any ideas on :
1) Best route to the Verdon/Alpes maritime. We may also head east to Annecy/ Grenoble on way down.
2) beautiful ,out of the way small campsites or aires in the country side or beau village in these areas and easy first day stop over on the route down.
We have ACSI cards and all the Aires books, camper contact etc.
3) And any suggestions for stop overs , as above ,for the region we hope to tour i.e verdon/Alpes maritime?

near the tourist office,/wine info etc in burgundy country. Not much more than a car park, but fine for overnighter, town few minutes walk and looked very attractive (even in grey december)

There is an aire in Langres
Latitude: 47.85746 47° 51' 27''
Longitude:5.32921 5° 19' 45''
or you can get on the N44/N4/N67 and stop at
Froncles or Vieville
