If you're coming down this way, maybe down the M11, and looking for somewhere to overnight for not a lot of £, take a look at Thaxted town centre car park. Close to M11. Free to park, free to overnight (max 48 hours), dedicated large vehicle area, useable toilets, quiet setting, pubs and restaurants at 100m. Also handy for Stansted.
