sorry last post should have said haven sale
Haven are having a 50% off sale till the end of the month
We have just book little sea in Dorset for 7 nights in may for £91 which includes taking a second car

things may well have changed / improved since, but we booked onto the Haven site near Ayr about 15 years ago, it was truly awful, roughly laid tarmac and less room than a French aire parked next to main road outside the park

we negotiated moving to a chalet for free it was so bad, we had a caravan at the time and had promised the kids the facilities, if it happened now I would just leave and fight for a refund

Hopefully no longer the case

we usu haven regulaly generally stay for a month we are freedom trail members ,payments between £65 a week & under £400 for a month,admitedly out of main season, thorpe park/caister/primrose valley/mroton mair /rieghton sand, etc generaly start furthest away and work back to home:thumb:

the prices they charge for extras onsite is extortionate
and the club houses are usually so small that people cant fit in

we stopped their last year for a week , great site ,bus stop in the camp to weymouth , great large club house and swimming pool , our pitch had it own water tap and the green plastic hard standing , enjoy we will be going back

We have been using Haven Sites for years. Only ever been out of season, and never been charged for extras. Never used the club house so dont know if they are good or bad.
We had 3 nights in October for £30 hard standing, water, waste and hook up.:thumb:

We used Haven at Blue Dolphin near Filey through the MCC which is the reason we joined
and this is the deal offered through Motor Caravanners Club (MCC) arrive 12 noon Sunday leave 10am Friday total cost £20.00 in 2013 out of season of course including hook up and you could extend the stay for the week-end for a further £30.00. We found this out through another funster whom we met up with for the week.

Thank you for this. I have just booked five night at Reighton Sands in Filey. £42.50. Large pitch with EHU. I never would have thought of the Haven site.

A lovely part of the country...even in March.

Off topic, but back in 1976 I drove a Caravan transporter for Haven Leisure, back then they had 44 sites around the country, some of them were a bit tacky though

Wild Duck in Yarmouth was a reasonable site about 2 years ago did a CC
rally there.
