Funsters looking for a place to park up for the night or who want to explore the area could do worse than Clanville Fields, a C&CC CS not far from Chippenham in Wiltshire.
We found this more or less by chance the other day, its less than 5 minutes away from the M4 motorway junction 17 and is suitable for all sizes of van.
This is a no frills site, just a large area of hardcore - no grass to get stuck on. No electrickery but you can get fresh water and empty your toilet cassette.
The owner is not always around but he will give you the code to the gate lock when you ring. There is an honesty box for payment. Talking of payment, this site is only £8 a night.
Nice walks in the fields directly from site.
