HAIRDRYER USING AN INVERTER (1 Viewer)

I have a new motorhome and did a lot of research into using a hairdryer in it. I can now recommend my solution. I am able to use my hairdryer which is a 1200W ( I only use it on the low heat, high fan setting). We bought from Coastline Campers (who were very helpful) a Streetwise DC-AC Power Inverter 2000W Continuous/4000W Peak Power Inverter. I have used my hairdryer for the 10 -12 mins it takes to dry and style my hair. So I am very pleased.

Informative post but your battery make/type and ah capacity would help as well.

My better half makes do with a cheapo 12v hairdryer, which saves paying for the inverter :)

....and, cue the conspiracy theorists.....;)

How can you say that. Just look at that hair, it's stunning. I love the way she highlights the grey bits, most women just paint over them. This is a good honest hairstyle. It's organic.

Good to hear how COASTLINE CAMPERS were so helpful with your hair styling issues, you must be grateful to COASTLINE CAMPERS for all their helpful help. Was that COASTLINE CAMPERS .co.uk or COASTLINE CAMPERS .com as there appears to be at least two companies called COASTLINE CAMPERS, and only one of them may be really helpful with help, whereas the other COASTLINE CAMPERS may not be very helpful at all. Can you help?

I last took a brush to my hair in about 1985 and it got so scared, it upped and disappeared.
I've not had to use a brush or comb since.

My missus uses a 400 watt Moulinex vintage hairdryer that cost a fiver from Fleabay and works a treat (same as she used back in early 80's) on our crappy 600W MSW Maplin invertor (Code: A18FG) that cost £44. At less than £50 all in, and less than half the price of her Nicky Clarke one at home that is only marginally better. If you can do better than that for cheaper, then do it

Now who was that again? Ahh, COASTLINE CAMPERS!

Anyone want to build them a decent website?

I note the OP is now deleted user?
My wife's hairdryer is kept under the bonnet, simple to use, turn key, hear noise, wait minute or so, turn control to red segment and number 4 on other control.
It actually charges the leisure battery rather than discharging it.

Available from ANY Motorhome / Leisure dealer...............

Here's one below, they are usually packaged in a large white box

I have been looking for a low wattage hairdryer fir ages. I did find one in a Chinese shop in Benidorm at 600 watt for €6.50 . Unfortunately didn't buy it at the time And now we're too far away.
I realised yesterday that my daughter had bought me a styler which is 300watt it blows quite weakly and it has 2 styling brushes that plugs in the end when blowing isn't needed.
It's adequate for my slowly thinning hair!
Never needed a long time to dry my hair anyway.
Great for using off grid on an inverter. Might take a long time with thick hair though.

Long time
I use a very sophisticated hair dryer.
After washing I start off with a towel then I move on to a comb or brush.
After that I just get on with my life the natural air/wind/sun-whatever drys it for me.
Very clever-don't you think!:D
