Being a newbie can anyone explain about habitation checks, i;e why are they done, how often, the rules and so on.

Hi Colsar. Welcome to FUN. :thumb:

The habitation check is an annual check, carried out on the habitation part of your MH.
It should check the integrity of the bodywork, ie, check for water ingress (damp), as well as the integrity and safety of the gas and electrical systems, (12v and 240v).
It should also cover the manufacturer's fixtures and fittings, etc.

the mane thing i like to be sure of is the gas both supply and flue venting

nut i always think that a habitation cheek is only good at the time it was don just like a mot
one thing that will kill you is carbon monoxide get a detector or even beater two
£12 pounds best money you will ever spend
