Have money in pocket and we are now on the prowl for a MH.
Have read the MH Buyers Guide and have taken on board the advice.
If we decide to buy privately, and there are a couple we like, what is the best way to arrange an independant habitation check/survey please ?
We are talking about spending a lot of money so your advice and experience would be greatly appreciated.

There is a trade body.. National caravan council. Go on their site and you will find a list of mobile engineers. You can book one of those to visit the van and do an independant check.
Maybe negotiate with the seller that if you buy they deduct the cost of the check as that helps them with the sale, If it's a "Lemon" the cost of the check could have saved you loosing a lot more cash...

Sorry, cant do a direct link.. my ipad playing up at present.

You will preferably need to find someone close to where the van is located, not many, if any people in Argyll, I have to take our Hymer to Knowe Park at Livingstone for the annual check required by the warranty.

I am just down the road from you, happy to help or chat about MH things if needed.
