I reckon that is an understatement Jim !! According to the blurb she should be ok to tow up to a ton with ease.. Yer right !!!

What ever it is jim I'm sure it is very good, something he must be very proud of, why else would he want to share the good news. So it will be in the range of No 4. My guess is 18.5 mpg

That is good! My 6.3ltr Dodge was doing about 9mpg, this was a run of mostly motorway at 55mph and I'm running it in so not flooring it. I'm hoping to better now the carb is rebuilt, just need a tune.

I think Jim has not got used to the filling process yet. They are known for air locks in the filler pipe, if you had let the air out you could possibly taken another few gallons before it was full.
