Did the first brim to brim MPG calculation yesterday, 270 miles on a variety of roads B, A and Motorway.

We are a 6 litre Ford Powerstroke Diesel, all up weight of around 7 tons. Towing a 2 ton twin axle trailer. What do you think my MPG was  Choose a range below or be more specific. Prize for the closest answer.
  1. Under 6mpg
  2. between 6 and 10
  3. between 11 and 15
  4. Between 16 and 2o
  5. Over 20

Over 20mpg, reacon we got close to 20 out of our 6.5tD Trek, so modern engine would not be surprised.

I can drive. I used to squeeze 26mpg out of my old Hymer, while towing 1.4 ton :)

I was told to expect a very good return from this engine. Its famous for two things. Blowing head gaskets and an amazing MPG figure

My first calculation 20.82 miles to the gallon.
Just checking my spreadsheet now it was actually 332 miles and that cost me just 72.5 litres. :)
