GSM PIR alarm

    Bought a very similar one of these from Ebay (mine was sent from Germany)

    You set it with one press of the supplied remote control and disarm it similarly.

    Handy if you leaving the van parked up unattended for an extended period of time or just if you're on a quiet aire, you can set it to text and ring your mobile if there is movement in your van and you have the option of setting the alarm to silent or audible. Its ideal for me when I visit my mother in Spain as the van is parked up nearby and I can get to it in one minute (unless I've had a few). I found it relatively easy to set up and it works well so far, I'm using an O2 PAYG simcard.

    Another variation on the GSM alarm, all at silly money.

    I think the GPS ones often quoted on here, cheaper, are better but require some installation.

    I like the fact that its portable, primarily because I'm hopeless with electrics!
