The grill lights and run for a short while then goes out. Any suggestions on what is wrong and is it a dealer job.

Ours had a problem from brand new it would not stay alight the dealer had to change the the burner something to do with a regulator on it was nothing to do with oiling though the grill had never been used and the main regulator was only 12 months old.:groan:

Was it ok in the past ? Is the flame still strong with a blue tip ?

If so, check the thermocouple tip is in the hot part of the flame.. adjust if required .. if ok then check the thermocouple connection ..

if that's ok then the thermocouple may need replacing.

If flame weak then it may be a partially blocked jet, clean using a jet cleaning wire, or replace, the size is marked on the jet..IIRC you need a 7mm socket to remove the jet.

or as suggested a faulty regulator.

Yes I am pretty sure ours was the thermo coupling and had to be replaced on a brand new Autotrail Tracker!
All works now though.
