Grey Water Drain Tap - temporary fix advice please (1 Viewer)

I am going to order a new one for our LMC, but need a temporary fix. There is a 40mm external diameter rigid plastic pipe (35mm internal diameter as near as I can measure it) onto or into which I need to push a tap.

Can anyone advise on a simple and effective solution please?

You could try getting some fittings for 40mm push fit waste pipe from your local plumbers merchants

For a pound or two you should be able to fit a push fit blanking plug to pipe..screw fix and the like do them..

I am nor sure that would be watertight enough. The socket on my Hymer does not have a sealing ring, so OK to empty using some 40mm pipe but no good for holding back any head of water. After all the OP does not want to be a grey dribbler.

We have an LMC and I repaired the waste water pipe with 40mm push fit waste pipe

That's what I have. Expensive in UK aren't they.

Have you managed a repair?

If not, could you fit a gate valve onto the pipe?
