I am going to order a new one for our LMC, but need a temporary fix. There is a 40mm external diameter rigid plastic pipe (35mm internal diameter as near as I can measure it) onto or into which I need to push a tap.

Can anyone advise on a simple and effective solution please?

I am nor sure that would be watertight enough. The socket on my Hymer does not have a sealing ring, so OK to empty using some 40mm pipe but no good for holding back any head of water. After all the OP does not want to be a grey dribbler. (y)

How about a 40mm solvent weld valve as used on swimming pool pipes

Have you managed a repair?

If not, could you fit a gate valve onto the pipe?
