Just spotted this on the website for theBroken Link Removed motorhome show in Holland next month.

As well as the usual manufacturers, dealers and accessories stands, they are also offering the following to visitors:

  • Test drives of a range of motorhomes on site
  • Skid pan practice (in your own motorhome, I believe)
  • A motorhome "gymkhana" course (again, in your own motorhome, I believe)
  • Motorhome-related workshops
  • Test drives of electric bikes

They also have what looks like a competition for the best technical invention for the motorhome (strange translation by Google but seems to have some thing to do with a mad inventor character from Donald Duck cartoons! :roflmto:)

Would love to see some of the above at any of our shows! It must be quite easy to set up workshops either by MMM staff if a Warners show, or by invited trades people at any other show. Maybe things like how to change your bulbs to LEDs, fitting reversing cameras, preparing for winter, etc. It only needs a quick browse of this forum to find lots of subjects for workshops!

Ha! :roflmto:

Yeah, "Root Willy" is "Willy Wortel" or the mad inventor from the Donald Duck cartoons.

Maybe they're looking for the most Heath Robinson addition to motorhomes?

I think the "strange camp" translation possibly means "before and after" unusual motorhomes.

Have to admit I'm tempted to pop over...

Hoi Paul and Ineke,

So, have you been to this show before? What's it like?

Worth a visit? It sounds great.

Groet

Hi Steve,

As far as I know this is organized by the NKC to celebrate their 35th "birthday" dont know if it is going to be continued in the next years.

It is organized on the, for Dutch, famous TT motor racing track in Assen . Tickets are rather expensive (Euro 16/pp for a day) but looking at the program it could be money well spent. There is no camping facility on the spot so you will need a camping or camperplace nearby. (Wilding is and absolute NoNo in Holland)

Assen is about 285 km north of Antwerp.

We will not visit it though, but would certainly go if I needed to replace my camper.

I am not a Willy Wortel and got two left hands, when fixing something i always have leftovers

Love this one
