2 days ago we were taken by the father of the campsite owner at Camping Camino de Santiago in Castrojeriz (I think) to see raptors. The highlight of the evening was seeing Great Bustards.First single ones and finally a group of 16.
We were along way away from them-I reckon 500mtrs at least so this pic on my 500mm Sigma is not very sharp-but it's recognisable.

    Mike.

I've met a few Great Bustards in my time.
Haven't they released some Bustards onto Salisbury Plain ?
