Hi all,
We are going to the South of France this summer and would like to spend a couple of days in Grasse. Been on camper contact but there does not seem to anything there. Does anyone have any recommended Aire or site in Grasse. Haven't looked at All the Aires yet as it is in the van and I'm not.

Thanks Glenn.

We went to Grasse last August on a day trip from St Raphael with friends in their car, had a lovely day and glad I went, but the one day was enough time for us there. You needed serious dosh for the fragrances! Sorry cant help with sites.
Veering off your thread a bit The Gorge Du Verdon which is not a million miles away was a really wonderful day out and would spend more time / return there, took our Kayak, doubt you would want to drive round the mountain top bits in anything much bigger than a Transit though. The roads in the green bit where pretty bad and I def wouldnt take my motorhome round them. Beautiful countryside.

Would advise keeping well out of grasse with mh, we went last year round and round till we gave up and left, all signs say Fragonard, pointing both ways, nightmare, better park outside somewhere and bus in

Visited a few years ago and took the Little Train Tour. We wondered why they had taken us around all the slum areas then found out that those were the best bits.

Seriously, not a pretty town, and only worth a visit if you intend to visit the Perfume outlets/museums.

I agree with @Granjan . The Verdon Gorge is a better visit. For a very pretty town visit Moustiers-Ste-Marie or Castellane instead.

Anyway, enjoy your trip.:)(y)

@maison - clearly hasn't changed a great deal since we went there on the Trophy (the one in my avatar) in approx 2003 LOL

Still - that bit of the route Napoleon is worth doing - on a motorbike! (both ways from/to Castellane)

Thanks for the help. Stayed on the Aire in Castellane last year, lovely place. Agree the route Napolean is great on the bike. Looking like Grasse will be a day trip.
