I guess that answers the question, then

Must be something the forum does - the link takes you via www.webgains.com, which is apparently an affiliate site, i.e. someone gets a payment when anyone clicks on the link (or perhaps only if they buy the product). It's unnerving to see the redirects going on when you're not expecting them.

I have Adblock Plus, but it doesn't seem to do anything about that affiliate link. It's not that I mind, it's just nice to be warned.

I found the deal on Google search used the link from there to the works . co. uk site and merely copied the link out of my browser bar, it must have some code hidden in there somewhere i've checked my browser and it is doing the same as yours but you have to be quick to notice it,
Me thinks Minxy's sabotaged it
