Well as uncle Bartley would have said I have been living to high on the hog.
Felt a twinge of the gout today so now back to normal eating.
To much red meat, cream cheese, red wine and brandy.
Gout....the curse of the foodies.
Last nights boeuf bourguignon was good though.::bigsmile:

Eat cherries; drink cherry juice or get cherry supplements ....

The cherry reduces the uric acid levels in the body and help; better than cranberries.

Also drink more fluids to flush and reduce the levels of uric acid.

I learned a lot when himself was struck with it ... and our Dr said that each person has a different trigger substance but cherries would help.

Tried them it worked .....

My husband has suffered for 5-6 years now and changed both our diets to chicken and some fish he only has one kidney working so hospital says this is the problem as he does not filter out all of the acid he is on tablets now every day and much better though does get the odd attack there is a web site that gives you triggers and safe food tried the cherry route but did not work for him but everyone is different but try to avoid foods high in purine hope this link works
